US agro-industrial corporations visited Nur-Sultan city

On April 5, an American delegation comprising large agribusiness Tyson Foods Corporation, Global Irrigation at Valmont Industries and AGGO-GSI visited Nur-Sultan city. On the basis of LLP «Astanagenplan», the layout of master plan and plans for the further development of the capital were presented to the representatives.

The head of the Division of Investments and Enterprise Development in Nur-Sultan, Alisher Abdykadyrov, spoke about the economic development of the city, including government measures to support investments, noting that the city akimat will provide comprehensive support in the implementation of promising projects.

The transnational corporation Tyson Foods has shown interest in the construction of a meat processing plant in the capital with a capacity of up to 2,000 cattle per shift, which will be equipped with advanced technologies that meet international standards.

Tyson Foods is the second largest producer and supplier of chicken, beef and pork in the world after the Brazilian company JBS S.A. and annually exports the largest percentage of beef from the United States. The company owns more than 300 properties, more than 100 of which are located in the United States.

Akimat of the Nur-Sultan city together with Astana Invest organized the participants of the American delegation to visit potential potential sites for the project.
