A press tour was held at Industrial Park No. 1, dedicated to the International Day of Zero Waste, observed on March 30. The event became an important step in implementing the Waste Management Concept for 2026–2030, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 31, 2025. This is the first strategic document aimed at forming a comprehensive and integrated model for the development of the sector as part of the nationwide initiative “Taza Kazakhstan.”

A key element of the recycling sector reform will be the establishment of a National Waste Management Center. The center will be created on the basis of Zhasyl Damu JSC, which will undergo transformation. The new structure will assume the role of a system-wide coordinator, ensuring effective interagency cooperation, the development of unified standards, and oversight at the national level.

One of the recycling enterprises in the capital is Kazecotech LLP, founded in 2012 and specializing in the collection, storage, and processing of industrial and hazardous waste. The company also provides a wide range of services—from the disposal of batteries and used oils to the recycling of office equipment, rubber products, and mercury-containing lamps.
