Today, a round table on the development of education projects was held in the Mayor's Office of Nur-Sultan with the participation of the Mayor of the City, Bakhyt Sultanov, Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustem Bigari and the UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mohammad Ahmad Aljabera.
During the event, an investment contract that provides investment preferences for the implementation of the investment project «Construction of the International School «SABIS» was signed. It is the first investment contract in the field of education in Kazakhstan.
A huge work on cooperation with SABIS was carried out within 2 years. The measures of state support for implementation of the project in the field of education, including the conclusion of an investment contract, the receipt of land and other permits, were explained in detail.
The international network of SABIS schools operates in 20 countries of the world, has 132 schools and trains more than 70 thousand students. The project will create 1000 new school places, 250 places for kindergarten, as well as 200 new jobs places.
The construction of the school will make it possible to remove a significant burden on the city for preschool and secondary education, which is, considering the birth rate in capital, is growing every year.
Also, within the framework of the round table, documents on cooperation between the Mayors' Office of Nur-Sultan, the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and existing domestic investors in the construction of new private schools in Nur-Sultan were signed.
In general, the total investment of 6 projects will be more than 17.4 billion tenge, will create 5,890 school places, 1,160 pre-school education places and 1,150 new job places.
