Astana Invest Front Office Hosts Meeting with Executive Director of Kazakh Holding TauKen Group Ltd Nasipbay Akhmetov and General Manager of Chinese Holding Changzhou Chenwei International Trade Co., Ltd Xu Xianxin

Today, the Astana Invest Front Office hosted a meeting between Sultan Dostanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Nasipbay Akhmetov, Executive Director of the Kazakh holding company TauKen Group Ltd, and Xu Xianxin, General Manager of the Chinese holding company Changzhou Chenwei International Trade Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for implementing investment projects in Astana, localizing production, and further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakh and Chinese businesses.

Sultan Dostanov highlighted the capital’s investment potential, opportunities for locating manufacturing facilities, existing government support measures, and the assistance provided to investors by Astana Invest.

Particular attention was paid to promising areas for the localization of high-tech manufacturing in Astana. In particular, the parties considered the possibility of implementing projects in the production of solar and photovoltaic equipment, smart lighting systems, textile products, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other products.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Astana Invest, TauKen Group Ltd, and Changzhou Chenwei International Trade Co., Ltd. The document is aimed at further developing cooperation, exchanging information, and exploring joint investment initiatives.

TauKen Group Ltd is a Kazakh mining services company and holding group specializing in providing services to the mining and infrastructure sectors, including drilling and blasting operations, mine development, and geotechnical support.

Changzhou Chenwei International Trade Co., Ltd is a Chinese foreign trade company representing a group of manufacturing enterprises. The company is exploring opportunities to enter the Kazakh market and localize a number of production activities in Astana.
