The "1000-seats" project

Placement of pavilions in the city of Astana for conducting street trade - The project involves the placement of trade pavilions in the city of Astana in order to regulate and develop street trade. The project is popular among residents and entrepreneurs of the capital, as it allows aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own business with minimal opportunities, and established trade brands to develop a new niche. The main directions are the sale of a variety of food products, including vegetables, fruits, fast food, cafes, ice cream and flowers.

Project objectives:

Development of small and medium-sized businesses in the capital
Regulation and development of street trade
Improving the quality of services in street trade
Simplification of administrative procedures for business entities
Creation of a transparent and simple mechanism for granting the right to trade in urban non-stationary retail facilities

* The estimated rental rates are applied to new sublease agreements of the land plot concluded from the second half of the year 2021 and upon renegotiation of existing contracts with the expiring lease of the land plot.

Program results:

The quality of services in trade has improved through the introduction of identification passports of tenants, POS terminals.
Business is being legalized and the share of the shadow economy is decreasing
The appearance of the pavilions is designed in a single format throughout the capital
The number of spontaneous and uncontrolled trade is decreasing
