Meeting of representatives of the "Astana Invest" CIDC with the representatives of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

In October 2020, representatives of the mayor's office of Nur-Sultan and CIDC «AstanaInvest» visited the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The Kazakh delegation, represented by the head of the Department for investment and business development of the mayor's office of the capital, bekmurzayev Yerlan Orynbasarovich, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Astana Invest, Baltayev Yerzhan Talgatovich, was met by the Director (Chief Administrative Officer) of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Fahed al Marzuki.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is one of the world's most advanced clinics and is part of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, an Ohio-based non-profit Corporation founded in 1921. In addition to the Abu Dhabi clinic, the Corporation operates a 69-hectare campus in Cleveland, as well as 11 affiliated hospitals, 19 family medical centers in northeast Ohio, and hospitals in Florida, Nevada, and other countries. Outside the United States, the Cleveland Clinic also operates the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi and an outpatient sports medicine clinic in Toronto. The Cleveland Clinic campus in London, England, is scheduled to open in 2021.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was opened in may 2015 with a total investment of almost us $ 10 billion and a design capacity of 364 hospital beds, which can be expanded to 400 beds if necessary. Currently, there are places for more than 6,000 people in Cleveland, 340 of whom are doctors, and 2,918 are nurses and nurses. The clinic is designed to operate five different specialized centers, covering the treatment of diseases of the digestive system, eyes, heart and blood vessels, neurological treatment, respiratory system, and intensive care.

During the visit, the possibilities of cooperation between Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Nur-Sultan for the development of the capital's medical industry were discussed. The delegation presented investment opportunities in Nur-Sultan, as well as measures of state support for projects in the health sector. In turn, Dr. Fahed al marzouki expressed interest in possible cooperation and hope for further joint work.
