These were the key themes of the first Open Day for Kazakhstani suppliers, held at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant in Astana.
More than 36 domestic companies were invited to discuss cooperation opportunities and learn which areas of localization the company considers most promising for the development of railway engineering in Kazakhstan.
Participants included both existing Stadler suppliers already providing components for the project and companies that had successfully passed audits and validation and were currently at the stage of agreeing on supply volumes. The event also welcomed organizations whose products and services will be in demand once the plant’s new production workshops are commissioned.
Today, key technological processes have already been localized at the Stadler Kazakhstan production facility, and more than 85 passenger railcars manufactured by the company have been transferred to the ownership of Passenger Transportation JSC.
