It is planned to launch a factory for the production of respirators on the territory of the FEZ «Astana – new City»

The new enterprise for the production of FFP2 and FFP3 class respirators is located on the territory of the special economic zone «Astana – new City». To date, construction work has been completed and it is planned to launch the project in October this year.

The progress of the project was discussed in the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the leadership of the Turkish company «MFA Maske».

According to Fatih Furtun, Chairman of the Board of MFA Maske, this project is planned to be implemented in two stages. At the first stage, the production capacity will be 2.5 million units of FFP2 and FFP3 class respirators per year. At the second stage - 10 million units per year, including the production of gas masks and filters, as well as self-oxidizing masks for evacuation. In addition, 50% of the products are planned to be exported to Russia and Central Asian countries.

The implementation of the project will create about 100 permanent jobs.
