A field meeting of the city headquarters of the nationwide coalition “For a People’s Constitution of a Fair and Progressive Kazakhstan!” was held at Industrial Park No. 1 in Astana with the workforce of Stadler Kazakhstan.

The event was organized to discuss the draft of the new Constitution and to explain the significance and importance of constitutional reforms to labor collectives. The meeting was attended by company employees, representatives of public organizations, and experts.

“The new Constitution provides a solid legal foundation for building a just society. Its core is human rights and the rule of law. Meeting with the production team clearly demonstrates that the reforms are explained openly and that all spheres of society are involved in this important process. Where there is a factory, there is industry; where there is industry, there is a strong state. This is the essence of the new Constitution: respect for labor, industrial culture, and the people who create real products. The draft Constitution explicitly establishes that Kazakhstan is a social state where the highest value is the individual and their work. This means that the economy of the future will be based on real production, technology, and industrial independence,” said Yerlan Kanalimov, head of the city headquarters of the nationwide coalition in Astana.

Serik Egizbayev, Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and chairman of the Auyl Party, spoke about the impact of constitutional changes on agriculture, industry, and regional development. Zulfukhar Gaipov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Astana Akimat, emphasized the responsibility of civil society institutions in supporting and explaining constitutional reforms.

The meeting provided detailed explanations of the key directions of the reform—strengthening the principle of justice, ensuring the rule of law, improving the system of state governance, and developing human capital. Participants in the discussion shared opinions on how the updated constitutional norms would affect the education system, training of industrial personnel, and support for young specialists. Factory employees received comprehensive answers to their questions.

According to the city headquarters, such meetings will continue.
