Astana Invest and JIDA Discuss Prospects for Cooperation

A meeting between Astana Invest Chairman of the Management Board Askhat Bekeyev and a delegation from the Japan International Interaction and Development Association (JIDA) was held at the Astana Invest front office. The Japanese delegation was represented by Yasُنobu Mitera, Representative Director of Frontier Japan Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, Astana’s investment potential was presented, and possible areas of cooperation were explored. The parties discussed the prospect of signing a memorandum of understanding between Astana Invest and JIDA, as well as the possibility of organizing business meetings with representatives of industrial companies in Tokyo.

JIDA promotes international business cooperation, helps companies find partners, facilitates technology transfer, and supports Japanese companies in entering overseas markets.

Around 70 Japanese companies participate in the association’s programmes, and Kazakhstan is one of the priority areas of its international activities. Representatives of the Japanese delegation work in construction, digitalization and artificial intelligence, renewable energy, education, recruitment services, and airport infrastructure. The parties explored opportunities for cooperation in these areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed interest in further developing business ties and jointly exploring promising initiatives.
