Tokyo has become an international platform for showcasing Astana’s tourism potential. For the first time, Kazakhstan’s capital took part in Tourism EXPO Japan 2026, an international exhibition bringing together tourism industry representatives from around the world.

As part of the exhibition, representatives of Astana held a series of B2B meetings with Japanese and international companies. The discussions focused on promoting Kazakhstan’s capital in the Japanese market, including Astana in tourism programs, attracting international events, and developing new partnerships.

Special attention at the exhibition was also given to accessible and inclusive tourism. In January 2026, Astana became the first city in the CIS to join the European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT). This opens up new opportunities to promote the capital as an accessible tourism destination for travelers with disabilities from around the world.

Tourism EXPO Japan 2026 represents new business connections, international partnerships, and new opportunities for Astana.
