A welcoming ceremony was held in the capital for members of Kazakhstan’s national rowing team upon their return from the 20th Summer Asian Games in Japan.
Kazakh rowers Vladislav Yakovlev and Ivan Chernukhin won the gold medal, becoming the first athletes in the country’s history to claim an Asian Games title in rowing.
The athletes and coaches received a warm welcome from fans at Astana Airport, celebrating their historic achievement.
A total of 17 athletes represented Kazakhstan at the competition.
The gold medal was the result of hard work, discipline, and years of dedicated training. The achievement of the Kazakh rowers will go down in the history of Kazakhstan’s sport.
