Railway engineering

LLP “Stadler Kazakhstan” is a subsidiary of the Swiss concern Stadler Rail, one of the world’s leading companies in railway engineering. The company officially began operations in 2023, becoming the concern’s first plant in Central Asia. All stages of production — from welding and painting of steel car bodies to the installation of pneumatic and electrical components — are localized and carried out at the company’s plant in Astana.

Under the agreement with JSC “Passenger Transportation” , LLP “Stadler Kazakhstan” is producing 557 passenger railcars, including compartment and open-plan models, as well as cars for passengers with reduced mobility and generator cars.

The first domestically produced railcars in the Republic of Kazakhstan, manufactured using Swiss Stadler technology, are scheduled for delivery in December 2025.
