The Akim of Astana, Zhenis Kassymbek, shared on his Instagram page information about the investment projects supported in the capital.
“We continue to systematically attract private investment into the development of the capital—both in social infrastructure and in projects across manufacturing, logistics, transport, and other key sectors of the economy. By the end of 2025, a record volume of investment—around 2.5 trillion tenge—was attracted into the city’s economy, which is 21.3% higher than the previous year. Behind these figures are the creation of new jobs, expansion of production capacities, development of urban infrastructure, and an increase in the city’s investment attractiveness.
At the latest meeting of the investment headquarters, a number of investor proposals were reviewed. These include the construction of an international school for 3,000 students, a server equipment manufacturing plant, a football academy, and others. Special attention was given to projects such as a data center with 960 racks and a Tier IV reliability-level data center. The project предусматривает создание инфраструктуры for hosting critical IT systems with a total capacity of up to 100 MW, with the first phase scheduled for launch in 2027. The implementation of these initiatives will strengthen Astana’s position as a regional digital hub.
The total investment volume for the projects presented at the investment headquarters exceeds 380 billion tenge. Implementation is planned for 2026–2031, with the creation of more than 1,200 new jobs.
Meetings of the regional investment headquarters are held on a regular basis, and we provide comprehensive support to investors at all stages of project implementation,” wrote Zhenis Kassymbek.
