Following the National Investment Strategy, investment attraction activities are focused on priority sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. In general, there are two groups of priority sectors: sectors with potential and promising sectors.
Industries with potential are sources of Kazakhstan`s competitive advantages and are ready to attract investment and develop export production. These industries include the food industry, deep processing of minerals, metallurgy, chemistry, petrochemistry, and mechanical engineering.
